Backyard Market isn’t open yet. This covers what we hold while people sign up, and we’ll update it before the market opens.

What we keep

Your email, your name, your suburb, what you ticked as your reasons for joining and whether you want an email when we open. We also keep a record of each sign-in, including its IP address and browser, to keep accounts secure.

What we do with it

We use your suburb to decide where to open first and your email to send sign-in codes and, if you ticked the box, one message when the market opens near you. Nobody else can see your details, and we don’t sell them.

Email is sent through Resend. Visits are counted with Umami, which we run ourselves and which uses no cookies. The only cookies on the site are the ones that keep you signed in.

Removing it

Sign in and open your account page to change your details or delete your account. Deleting removes your details straight away. Copies in our backups are gone within 30 days.
